Your Idea To Market ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website www.yourideatomarket.com, an AI-powered platform that helps first-time inventors evaluate and develop their product ideas.

This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through our website, worksheet tool, analysis reports, and any related services. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We understand that your product idea may be your most valuable asset. We take inventor confidentiality seriously. Here is our explicit commitment:

Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account.
• Worksheet responses: Your answers to the 16-section product research worksheet, including product description, market research, skills assessment, budget, and timeline.
• Payment information: When you purchase a full report, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number, only a transaction confirmation.
• Uploaded files: If you upload a completed Excel worksheet, the file contents are read locally in your browser. The raw file is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, and general navigation patterns, used only to improve the platform.
• Device information: Browser type and general location (country/region) for analytics.
• Cookies: Session cookies to keep you logged in. See Section 9 for details.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your physical address unless you voluntarily provide it.
• We do not collect phone numbers.
• We do not collect social media profiles unless you sign in with Google (in which case we receive only your name and email).

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:

• To generate your AI analysis: Your worksheet answers are sent to the Claude AI model (via Anthropic's API) to produce your personalized inventor report. This is the core service.
• To operate your account: Saving your worksheets, storing your reports, and enabling you to return and pick up where you left off.
• To process payments: Completing your $29 full report purchase through Stripe.
• To improve our platform: Aggregate, anonymized usage patterns help us improve the worksheet questions and analysis quality. Individual ideas are never reviewed for this purpose.
• To communicate with you: Sending transactional emails (receipt, report ready, account confirmation). We will not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in consent.

5. Who We Share Information With

We share your information with a very limited number of service providers, and only to operate the platform:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): Your worksheet answers are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your analysis. Anthropic's API usage policy prohibits using API inputs to train their models. Your data is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: Hosts your account data and saved reports in an encrypted database. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe: Processes payments. We never see your full card number. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Netlify: Hosts our website files. Subject to Netlify's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your information with: advertisers, data brokers, investors, manufacturers, patent attorneys, competitors, or any other third party not listed above. We do not sell your data. Ever.

6. AI Processing & Your Data

Our platform uses Claude, an AI model built by Anthropic, to analyze your worksheet and generate your inventor report. Here is exactly what happens when you submit:

1. Your worksheet answers are compiled into a structured analysis request.
2. This request is sent to Anthropic's API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
3. The API generates your report and returns it to our server.
4. Your report is stored in your account (if you are logged in) or held in your browser session.
5. Your answers are not retained by Anthropic for model training purposes under their API terms.

Important: We strongly recommend not including information in your worksheet that you consider trade-secret-level sensitive until you have filed at minimum a Provisional Patent Application. Our platform is designed for early-stage idea validation, not post-patent deep disclosure.

7. Data Security

We implement the following security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Encryption at rest: Your account data and saved reports are stored in an encrypted database.
• Row-level security: Our database is configured so that each user's data is only accessible to that user and not to other users or general staff.
• No raw file storage: Uploaded Excel worksheets are read in your browser and never stored on our servers.
• Payment security: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never handle raw card data.

While we take security seriously, no system is completely immune to breaches. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of discovery.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view all your saved worksheets and reports in your dashboard at any time.
• Correction: You can update your name and email in your account settings.
• Deletion: You can delete individual ideas or your entire account from your dashboard. Full deletion is completed within 30 days.
• Export: You can download your analysis reports as PDF at any time.
• Opt-out of marketing: You can unsubscribe from any marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email footer.

For California residents (CCPA), EU/UK residents (GDPR), and other users with regional privacy rights: you may contact us at the address below to exercise any rights applicable to your jurisdiction, including the right to know, right to delete, and right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data).

We use a minimal set of cookies:

• Session cookies: Required to keep you logged in during your visit. These expire when you close your browser or sign out.
• Preference cookies: Remember whether you prefer the online or upload worksheet mode.
• Analytics: We may use privacy-friendly analytics (no cross-site tracking) to understand which pages are most useful.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party behavioral tracking. Your Idea To Market does not display advertisements and does not participate in ad networks.

10. Children's Privacy

Our platform is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to our platform, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will never change our core commitment: your idea remains yours, private, and never sold or shared.
